The summit of the Tour Ronde gives some of the finest views in the Mont Blanc Range, including a closeup of the vast Brenva Face of Mont Blanc itself.

The South East Ridge is best climbed from the Torino hut, where an hours approach walk leads to the foot of the route. A steep slope leads up onto the crest, which is then followed to the summit. Numerous towers and difficult sections block the way – each must be either turned (mostly on the left) or climbed direct. In snowy conditions, there are also sections of narrow crest to cross too. At the end of the horizontal section, the route turns snowy and steepens for a while, leading to the final summit rocks. The descent is back the same way, down climbing or making short abseils past the difficulties.
